The three articles for the response paper this week clearly reflect about the journey of information technology/computers in USSR and the manner in computers developed in the country. According to the article Wilson Quarterly, Norbet Wiener published a book named Cybernetics. He was one of the renowned MIT mathematicians and his book focused on the science of control and communication in the animal and machine (Kurek). The term cybernetics slowly became obsolete and was slowly replaced by several other terminologies. Boris AgaPov was one of the prominent editors of a famous magazine, who did not know much about cybernetics but read a summarized overview of Wiener’s cybernetics in the Time magazine which posed a question as headline “Can Man Create a Superman?” This headline which he read on the magazine became an anti-American propaganda for Agapov (Kurek).
